You did the right thing 
It's an easy enough fix, they go apply for a lost ID or DL online...they will mail it, or you can set your apt, in line and then no waiting and pick it up. I lost mine behind the dash in my car this week, so had to do just that.. I set my apt and place in line, and by the time I got there, I was called...quick ran in and got it. I didn't know I was getting a new picture, and unprepared for that, but oh well... From start to finish about 45 minutes including drive time. Writing a check is cheaper than paying electronically as well. For the elderly, they can just mail it if not expired or need that eye test, or if wanted it done that day, quick go do that and reschedule later in the day. |
