There are two ways of looking at this. First is what you mentioned about the enjoyment of going out for a drive and/or spending your day doing something different. Sometimes you can't put a price on that. The second way to look at it is from a purely business perspective, in which case it's important to do the math, especially if an actual choice has to be made.
Was the 110 miles one way or round trip? If the former, the cost of operating your vehicle is probably at least $50 more than if you did 4 separate 30 mile round trips. So it appears that the more enjoyable option is clearly the less profitable, if the total pay is the same.
The beauty of being self-employed is that we have the choice to use whatever standards we want when faced with these kinds of choices. It's just a good idea to make sure we're clear on the trade-offs.
