You don't need an NNA membership, but you do need a BGC from either NNA or Sterling (and possibly the NNA certification). And yes, you need a referral from an EO. Having a good relationship with a LO who uses Fidelity can be one way to get your foot in the door. I don't believe the LO can refer you directly, but they're the EO's client and if they say they want you to do their signings, that's the best way to get in.

Fidelity will have some additional forms to sign once you get the referral, but they'll send all that to you.
