Question. What can I do as a NON-attorney notary public when performing a notarial protest for a client? (Obviously, you did not draft the protest - unless Texas law allows a layperson to do this for a client.)
The attorney will let you know what you "can" and "should not" do. I am not familiar with Texas-allowed notarial protests; however, your Attorney General's office should be. Plus the call is FREE and may help to keep you out of any unintended legal consequences down the road. |
