this is not unlike bringing a spouse or child, or "shadow NSA" to a signing. I am not about to bring someone with me while discussing NPPI with the signer. And I'm certainly not bringing a witness to sign and then, what?, go sit in the car for the rest of the time? Not reasonable.

In my world, the signer has the onus to provide witnesses.
