To check which version of Adobe Reader you have, open a PDF document, which will use whatever Adobe product you have. Then click on "Help" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page, upper left. Choose on an option that says "About..." - whichever most closely matches what you think you have - and it will open another window. At the top will be the name of the version of Adobe Reader you're using and in very small print at the bottom, you'll see the actual version number you're running. (I'm currently using Version 10.1.4.) I think the most recent version is 11 something, but I remember people having lots of problems with page size being recognized when they upgraded to that, so I never did - and haven't had any issues with my older version.
As for browsers, I'm a fan of Firefox, which I've been happily using for many years. (I believe I DO have the latest version of Firefox, which has had several updates over the past year or so.) |
