An Independent Notary will not even figure into this. They will simply do a 'hail Mary' right around us...tho' it does seem that not everyone recognizes this. Being an e-Notary is a very temporary thing on the trainwreck headed toward 'remote'.
Lenders will love this. Instantly done. Title companies--if they have the in-house tech--maybe (but, if I were them, all the fraud, legalities, liability, storage issues and a million other things I know nothing about...hacking, block-chain technology, etc., etc. would scare me off).
Follow the money most definitely applies here. The big 'remote' companies are putting their money behind the ignorance of legislators who will think it's a great idea--because they've been lobbied by pros. |
