IMHO, these are the sites worth paying for:
1. Notary Rotary
2. XYZ
3. #'s site
4. coffee site
(NotRot does allow me to post their actual names. Competing sites.)
In that order. (btw, #4 is not as popular as it used to be, imo)
When you do join those sites, make good use of that fee you paid. Develop and list a good profile. Something that will draw attention to your skills, experience and professionalism. Just putting your name on it is NOT going to do you any good. Put yourself in a perfect stranger's shoes looking for a notary in your area. If you get a list of 3 notaries' profiles (including yours), which would you hire. Do a search for other notaries in your area and compare profiles. Never, ever copy someone else's profile. Generate your own.
