It can be frustrating (for us as well as the signers) to not get docs, and receive no communication back about their status. It happened last just week. I have found that getting docs in the evening, for an early morning appointment can sometimes be challenging. In general, I try to be as flexible as possible. However, sometimes I set a specific time when I would need docs (usually 2 hrs. prior to appointment), in an email, something like: "Thank you for the assignment. The appointment has been confirmed with Ms. Doe for 10am Monday. Please note that docs would need to be received by 8:00 am in order to met the appointment time." Just to document it. Also, it can occassionally kick them into gear a little - provided there's someone at the helm. Sometimes I'll have an alternate plan with the signer. Sending an email something like: "I am happy to accommodate this appointment tomorrow at 12noon, Mr. Smith is available at that time, as am I, if that works for you. Just let me know." Cheryl, I know that you know all of this already. It's just sharing in general... |
