Yes, the live scan process is mandatory. The commission renewal will not be processed without live scan process completed showing no events:
DUIs
Accidents, speeding tickets, running red lights, driving without a valid license, driving without insurance and current registration of vehicle.
Any felony or misdemeanor, involving issues of moral turpitude.
Any relocation in home address
Name change (marriage, divorce, etc.)
The SOS is tracking any changes we make to our legal residence or any run-ins with the law.
In the absence of any of the above, Janet, I think you are squeaky clean. Mine was processed very quickly, as I don't have any of the above going on either.
