And that's why Trump has been able to do a 180 degree reversal today, which he could have done at any point. It's proof that he and his administration have been lying about this all along, but I'm sure they'll find a way to spin this, as well.
The opposition (thankfully including Ivanka and Melania) just got to be too much for him, so it seems he figured he was losing whatever political advantage he had hoped to achieve (IMO as leverage to get his boondoggle of a border wall paid for). Thank goodness!!
