I've seen his claims, and so far that is all they are - claims. They did get brief mention in the US media, but there doesn't seem to be any way to confirm or verify his story, which is probably why it is not being widely reported here He will not identify who gave him the documents other than to say it was an intermediary and not the person who originally obtained them; he won't even identify what department this person worked in or how the documents were obtained. Given the total lack of proof and his somewhat sketchy background, it's difficult to take what he says on complete faith.
Meanwhile, intelligence agencies have determined that Russia did, in fact, hack both the DNC and Podesta's email accounts. The simplest conclusion (according to Occam's razor) is that emails came from the Russian hackers. |
