Have you even READ the report? Or you just dismissing it because you're a Trump supporter?
You did not provide a link to what you posted above, but I was able to track it down - for future reference, it would be a lot easier to respond if you would provide a link to the actual article rather than just the name of the publication it appeared in.
The major argument I saw in the article was that the "security consultants" were upset that there was no "smoking gun" - that the specific information they wanted to see was classified, and could not be released to the public. As General Clapper said during the Senate hearing, there are people who put their own lives at risk to gather this information, and there are sensitive connections that have to be protected. Given that, all of the consultant's conclusions were suppositions based on what THEY know, and not on what the intelligence agencies know. If they were as good as they think they are, they would have much of the same information.
Personally, I put more faith in what the intelligence agencies are saying than what these "security consultants" are saying. So does much of Congress. Donald Trump rejects the findings of the Intelligence community only because his ego won't allow him to believe them. What's he going to do when the Intelligence agencies come to him with a clear and present danger to the US - dismiss them as incompetent? |
