Despite what your boy Trump wants everyone to believe, there ARE ethics in journalism. Every major outlet has standards and practices that their employees are expected to follow, and they are disciplined if they don't. There are plenty of instances where journalists have lost their jobs for violating ethics rules.

Trump has severely damaged the concept of a free press by selling this idea of "fake news" so hard that his followers are believing it. He calls everything he doesn't agree with or that reflects poorly on him "fake news" - and 99.9% of the time it turns out to be true. To him, the only "real news" is whatever he wants you to hear.
