My long-time love fest for Nike came to a screeching halt the day Odell Beckham Jr. got down on all fours in the end zone and lifted his leg like a peeing dog when he scored a touchdown. I made a telephone call to Nike and explained to them that I found his vulgar antics quite offensive and if they couldn't pick any better athlete than this loser to represent their company, then maybe they weren't the brand for me anymore.
As far as the right-wingers being upset with Nike's decision to use Colin Kaepernick as the face of their current "Just Do It" campaign, maybe the message they are trying to send by burning their shoes or clothing is that for every piece of Nike they burn, that is one less piece of Nike out there. |
