So glad you are safe!
The fires in Sonoma County are so devastating entire neighborhoods, businesses, forest lands, etc. There is nobody in this city that is not affected. My condo is in the evacuation area and Coffey Park, just a short distance from where my condo stands, was obliterated. On that note, since I am trying to rent my condo out, I have gotten queries about renting my condo out now because people's homes have burnt to the ground. It breaks my hear to tell people that my home is in the evacuation area and that I cannot rent it out at this time.
With just the clothes on our back and our phones, guess what I did not forget to bring?
My notary bag! That's right, MY NOTARY BAG! It's locked in my trunk the whole time because those would take time to replace.
By the grace of God, our home and neighborhood still stands and our cats are ok. It might be a few days before they lift the evacuation orders. A friend, who lives a short distance away and who refused to evacuate, is tending to them for us.
