OMG, Casa de Pico was one of my favorite places! The fresh, handmade tortillas were to die for and I loved watching them being made! I haven't found that anywhere since. Sad that they moved.
When I first moved to SD, I had a little tiny apartment in the Hillcrest area with a view of Mission Valley, not knowing that it wasn't exactly the happenin' spot for a straight single girl, but I digress...  Point being that I was very close to Old Town. (I also love that SD consists of little communities and neighborhoods. Gives it that small town feel.)
By the time fight 182 crashed, I had moved north to Scripps Ranch and was working in Rancho Bernardo. Otherwise, I would have had very different memories, I'm sure!  (Previously, I'd been working very close to the airport...)
