Had nice cold bottled water - and had I thought of it at time would have grabbed couple of the free soft drinks to have on hand for friends (Can't drink em myself). Shop was impeccable, and cleanest I've ever been in; yes, large tv too. Overall great experience and was asked to review ... only like, you I can't say I'll return.* I called mgr to request his ear before I give the google rating.
Shop is family owned, well-run, friendly and Clean (did I mention that?). That silly surcharge only negative. Couldn't drag a male along this time but any guy would have given this place a high -five.
I read that someone purchased their pads and had them put on by the Oil Change dealer and saved quite a bit; thought about that but I know how those lube chains are - and avoid altogether when possible. If I bring dad along I get nervous, besides. He is so old school and won't let them get away with nothin'!! You're not going to strip the bearings / screws or lollygag non-nonchalant while he's there. Last oil change had him along: guys were inexperienced, slow and ruptured something in customer's car while we were waiting! Not good. By the time he got thru with that lady and telling in earshot of customers (we were all sitting wondering if /when our vehicles would have new oil that day) what these half bit mechanics should and shouldn't be doing, it was a miracle they had any clients! Lady was smart, though and had them tow her car back to shop - a few feet from where she had just driven off the lot.
*[My thought: If a business isn't smart enough to build in the cost of doing business, they're not smart enough to do work for me.] ditto. Not trying to measure my inks, clips & such to portion out to clients I help close.
(Btw, feel free to use that "due to the rising costs of business" line in the car shop's memo at your own risk; just don't make it sound stupid - like about fingerprint pads and journals ...) |
