The worst one I can remember I believe was at least 2 hours. It was a doozy. One signer, but she was Successor Trustee (with no experience with real estate) on the sale of a very expensive property that had been owned in uneven parts by three family members, each with their own trust on title. They were all now deceased and the Successor Trustee wasn't familiar with the property, which was in northern California.
She was very conscientious and concerned about making mistakes - and this was a very complex arrangement, as you can imagine. So she read everything and it meant lots of phone calls to multiple parties. I can't remember what I got paid, but I believe the agreed fee was adjusted after the fact. Thankfully, it was for a regular client, which helped me keep my cool. I also felt bad for the woman who was just trying to do the right thing.
Fun, huh?! |
