So the patients who need them before this imaginary apex occurs are supposed to die because they can't get them?
And what is this "apex"? At what point do we decide, "OK, we're at maximum infection levels and now we can release the respirators"?
That's not how it works - you need them in place BEFORE you have to use them. If a patient has to go on a respirator, you can't afford a day or two for it to be delivered - it has to be available to you NOW. Today. Immediately. The respirator isn't all that helpful if the patient dies before you can use it. |
