I literally had my GPS (a Garmin) almost lead me over the side of a cliff one night. It thought the road I was on continued for another 1/2 mile in the same direction to my destination, even though there was no road beyond the barrier I suddenly found myself staring at.

The GPS was technically correct; my destination WAS on the other side of the barrier - about 30 feet straight down and 1/2 mile out from where I was sitting. When I contacted the customer, he said that people make that mistake all the time...
