Good rant, and more

If you're looking for a free ride where you can clock in, have your cup of coffee, do as little as possible while the boss isn't looking, not have to learn anything and can't wait for Friday to come...this ain't it.

If you're a complainer about how things have to be done, what you have to learn, why things need to be done exactly a certain way, all the new forms, rules and regulations....you're spitting in the wind. Nobody cares how you feel.

If after you drag yourself out on a cold and wet Friday night and go the extra mile and use the last ounce of energy in you to be gracious and get it done right.....don't look to be a hero. Hopefully you get paid.

If you think after obtaining your notary commission, getting fingerprinted, background checked, completing basic NSA courses, buying a bunch of equipment, and listing yourself on basic web portals, the phone is going to start ringing.... surprise! It won't.

If you think coming here to tell everybody about your grievances is going to bring you some comfort....um, naw.

If you don't have enough cash to carry you for months like every other self-employed who is building their business from scratch.....don't quit your day job.

If you don't like marketing, making cold calls, handling rejection time after time.....remember, out of sight out of mind. Burn that into your brain! and again....and again...

If you don't like hard work, constant learning and self-education, digging for answers yourself, dealing with difficult people and companies, working through non-uniform procedures and paperwork, don't have the ability to adapt and bend.....that's on you and this non-cookie-cutter business is gonna eat you.

If you can't go back and read this board FIRST for the last couple of years filling in all the blanks you still have after you've completed all your courses, expecting to be instantly gratified with spoon-fed helpful advise, even if you get it......know that you're privately being viewed as someone who can't or is unwilling to put in the time and effort, or just likes to complain.

If you think there aren't experienced professionals on this board of every sort, including signing service agencies, monitoring what you say and think.....then Facebook or Twitter may be a better fit to express yourself.

If you're brand new here, relatively new here, wondering what you're doing here.....step right on in....

Observe, read what others are doing, and learn. Then do it better! Wink
