A behavior guide of “kindnesses, consideration, and respectfulness!” Way to go !
I love this forum !! It has provided me with enumerable benefits, from sage Notary advice for work, to keeping me sane (and laughing!) during a pandemic! The people who contribute are just amazing – smart, giving, compassionate, team-players. Having an unwritten guide of respectfulness is yet another wise idea from this awesome Notary group.
A quick google search on respect - “Respect means you care enough to think about how you impact others. "What is respect" is a big concept to grasp. You might hear about having respect or showing respect. At the heart of respect is caring.”
“In simple words, respect is caring how words and actions may impact others.”
I would add, that respectful behavior is the ability to hear, and respond accordingly, when we are made aware that our behavior can be perceived as hurtful to others. It doesn’t include a caveat that we treat others kindly only if we think they deserve it. A cue like, “please knock it off” is enough to know that the behavior needs to be reined in. Not that we’re bad people, just that a little adjustment is needed. No big deal.
Thank you again, for the on-going positive contributions from the awesome Notary members. And for the excellent, reasonable guidance! |
