Stay on them...BUT, the time to re-negotiate your fee is NOT after you've done the signing. When an Order comes thru 'not as described' (huge pkg.)...that's when you re-negotiate! While I totally understand your reasons for invoicing for additional fee due to the circumstances beyond your control (2 1/2 hrs. at table), it really should be handled with a phone call politely requesting additional fee. As we really have no idea how long (or short) a time we'll spend at the table, the 'average time' should be factored into any fee you agree to--as should the mileage & drive time. |
