Re: Florida Digital IDs are acceptable for notarization purposes

If I were a Florida notary, I wouldn't be inclined to accept that statement. It's a reply to an email sent from Robert Koehler to "FL_GOV Notary" and the reply contains a text signature of Diedre Leaks, Notary Coordinator, Office of the General Counsel, Executive Office of the Governor.

My concern would be, what if a person who presented a FL digital driver license turned out to be an imposter (or at least, there was some evidence it might have been an imposter)? I try to defend myself by showing a posting on Florida Notary Academy website? If I tried to get this Diedre Leaks to confirm the email, who knows if Ms Leaks still works there, or if the email could be found?

Certainly as a Vermont notary I will not be accepting any out-of-state digital IDs.
