A jurat? I don't think a POA can swear to what the person they are signing for knows as truth. I alway sub an acknowledgmet for a jurat when it is a POA. (after telling the hiring party)
If the document contains a jurat certificate, an individual cannot act in a representative capacity as the attorney-in-fact for the principal signer because the attorney-in-fact cannot swear an oath under the penalty of perjury for the principal signer. |
