This example does not require notarization, but is an old and commonplace example of signing with name variations.
One receives a check with a misspelling in the name. For example, a correct version of my name is "Gerard Ashton" but I often receive checks with the payee listed as "Gerald Ashton". So I endorse the check with both versions of the name. I've been doing this for four decades, and the various banks and credit unions have never complained. |
