If borrs balk at providing copies of i.d., I just say, "That's fine. I totally understand your concerns. I'll make a note to the file that you will get copies of your i.d.'s to the lender/escrow/title directly. Thank you for understanding."
I have always been told not to take copies of driver's licenses with my cell phone. Too much liability to impact my E & O insurance.
