when the owner asked me to lower my fee to $90 for refi's. He said he would send everything in my area to me. My response:
I've done 5 for you all year long, I don't view that as "volume". No thanks, Hector. And I quit working for HVR because he was starting to pay late. Soon after, he abandoned HVR and leaving notaries in the dark, he was vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, having the time of his life. Many of my peers were left holding the bag for lots of money he never paid them for and then had the gall to send out 1099s that included the signing fees he had not paid them for. FRAUD! No ethics. Painful for these notaries. I escaped by the skin of my teeth. |
