Haven't worked with this company in years due to low pay. Back then, they wouldn't budge from $100. Now, that they're with SD, they offer $85 (from what I've seen). Found the following email in my spam folder this morning. Pay particular attention to the 4th paragraph:

Attention Notaries:
In an effort to get Notaries paid quicker and be more efficient, Notary ASAP will now be sending checks electronically. You will receive an email that contains a check from Notary ASAP. This email will likely be in your inbox, however, some email accounts tend to push our check payments to your Spam or Junk folder. Please always be sure to check those folders for your payments.
The online check will allow you to do one of the following two options. The first option will be to print the check. The second option will be to simply use online processing option which will ask you for bank information to deposit directly into your account. Side note, if you choose this online processing option, each payment we send in future will automatically go into your account without any added work on your part. You should still receive a receipt confirmation of the transfer to your account.
We understand although this will be incredibly convenient for most people, some might not be pleased. We apologize in advance to those Notaries not happy. We are doing our best to accommodate the masses and make processes which makes our Notaries get paid faster. If at any point you have spoken with us about where your payment may be, we will likely direct you to contact support@checkbook.io . They have the ability to re-route and check status of exactly where your check is and why you haven’t received it.
We also wanted to let all our Notaries know that it is absolutely imperative to make sure to get written approval from Notary ASAP BEFORE shipping Docs. Starting November 1st, any Notary who ships Docs before having written consent will forfeit their Notary Fee. If corrections are then needed, we will also need to see those corrections before shipping. We by no means want to take your hard earned money, we just need to get control of an ongoing situation of Notaries shipping Docs before Notary ASAP has given approval. As Notary ASAP is requiring scan copies of ALL files now, we need to make sure we look over Docs before shipping out. We understand many of you Notaries are incredibly professional and fantastic at your jobs. Unfortunately the best of us can miss a signature, date, or simple stamp on items from time to time. In an effort to guarantee our work, we have made more strict policies.
We truly value all your hard work and want to be clear we always remember those Notaries who make little to no mistakes and will continue to give as much work as possible to those who strive to do their best.
