I imagine not only the lending positions, but regular associates as well. Since I have been using the ATM to make deposits, it's so smooth. I get a copy of the deposited checks, everything done in a matter of seconds vs waiting in the drive in lane and filling out deposit slips and waiting and waiting some more. I still haven't graduated to depositing taking a picture on my phone via app, but really not seeing a need for drive up windows unless for commercial use in the future. I should have been doing this years ago.
I think the industry of banking as a whole is under a transition. Wells Fargo got busted major recently for making up phony accounts to make the their quotas, so I know they are hurting. Many lenders are working virtual from online lenders...we are not the only ones who really need to consider their Plan B at some point.
Crossing our fingers the economy remains good, so people keep buying and spending. Another crash will hurt us all. |
