every now and again we get the occasional criticism that the signing took too long.....yesterday I got to the signing early....called the signers....did they want to meet earlier? YES YES.....so excited to get it done earlier. The bank could accommodate the earlier signing. Signing took 20 minutes. I was so proud of myself. Signer looks at his watch, "20 minutes work for $2XX." He walks away.
The fact that I printed two sets of documents.....I drove 1 1/2 hrs to get there, and it will probably take me 2 hrs to get back home. I hand deliver the documents to escrow on Tuesday. YOU don't have to take off of YOUR jobs to drive 2 hrs one way to your escrow or pay for courier fee to deliver your documents to escrow. None of that clicks in.
Sometimes I just have to sigh, shrug, pack it up, and walk away. Middle of the bank was not the time or place to chose to die on that particular hill.
