Mistakes happen, I get it, but to always lay them at our feet gets a bit tiresome. Everyone wants the loan to close, so I'll bend a bit, you bend a bit and together we can reach the goal.

The problem is that the employee knows if they fess up, then their job is on the line, it is much easier to blame the faceless notary, and have them fall n the sword.
