My witness gets $25.00 when I bring him, and yes, it comes from the title co (the SS has to approve it with title), you have to let them know that they cannot provide a witness and that is their fee. You have to pay them, and they put it on your fee.
No big deal...if they want a witness and the signers cannot meet that requirement, then they have to pay for one.
