Yep, realtors are cleaning up right now as well! As busy as we are, they have about 30 on the line closing daily here, and make 30+x as much! I don't know how you do both!
In FL, as soon as a decent house hits. 17 offers within 24 hours are sent to the listing agent and then the bidding wars start, they stop taking more offers almost immediately. I was on my way to see a house and 10 minutes out, was told to forget it, the seller doesn't want to look into any more offers. It's crazy right now if you have a nice house, the ideal location you will unload it fast.
It's just the perfect storm in FL. People leaving the cities with crime, riots, leaving the flames, leaving higher taxes, finding out a lower cost of living and nice weather is better than where they are, especially if they work remotely from anywhere and no place to return to. 1500 a week steadily calling central FL home, it really sucks as traffic is horendous. We were not prepared for this back 30 years ago... |
