A lot of companies are purchasing their own generators, like high powered commercial generators, as well as homeowners. For myself and neighbors, we received grants from the State of CA for the installation of Tesla solar panels at our water sources in the event of wildfires. The water would still be accessible to defend against fire storms.
PG&E is trying to avoid heavy penalties, fines, wrongful death lawsuits, etc.
I will inquire at FEDEX what their alternative energy plan is, but we are actually not impacted here in SB/SLO county. All around us is, however, up north mostly. |
