One of the biggest goals of a virus is to stay alive. It's interesting to note that there are both weak strains and strong strains out there so it's a game of Russian roulette.

That's why some are also wearing eye protection that can decently be worn in public. Remember the old admonition about touching the corners of one's eyes?
