Hi Janet, the CLIN funds its own activities. As you stated, I wish we didn't have to offer any incentives, but alas in today's world people expect to be compensated for their time and opinions. For example, even with your humble perspective, you haven't shared your opinions. Is that because I haven't offered the prize that's right for you?
Yes, you have to enter your email address so that if you win one of the giveaways, I can reach out to you. You also have to enter your commission number to verify your status as an active notary, otherwise, anyone could hijack the survey. We don't ask for your name, address, income, or other personal demographics that some companies ask for and at the end of the survey, you have the option of opting into our newsletter or not, learning more about the CLIN or not. You cannot data mine as you suggested, that would lead to legal consequences in the state of CA.
As you stated in your post above, you're a cynic but there is nothing cynical about this survey. It's a chance for practitioners to share their opinions so that we can fight for notary-friendly legislation instead of getting steamrolled by big tech which has been the case for several years now. If you find that off-putting, then please simply take a pass. |
