Wow... Interesting situation. I think the only declaration I'd be willing to give is that I have no recollection of the details of any particular notarization. 'Course, I haven't retired yet, so I still have all my journals.

I think all counties in CA are only required to keep journals for 10 years. I can't imagine what kind of warehouse they must have to keep all those journals! (But I bet a very sizeable number of CA notaries never get around to sending their journals to the County Recorder's office, just letting their commissions expire without giving it much thought.)
