Dust off that old unused credit card. Charge a small amount that you can repay in several months. Put it back way. Do this on occasion with dormant cards. It provides history of on-time payment that each creditor will report, low utilization rate, and responsible use of credit. It may also give reason to increase your credit limit which reduces your utilization ratio. All beneficial.
I do the above and never bother to look at my score. I know it's zigzagging...intentionally. |
