Amrock Title
Posted by  Cheryl Elliott of CA on 11/12/22 10:13amMsg #643340
Since 2014 through June 2022, I had a steady stream of orders from Amrock fka Title Source. Very abruptly on June 6, 2022, I received a call from Partner(???)) Management that they were terminating our Partner Agreement and I would no longer be receiving work from Amrock.

What the H? When I asked why, since I had a vendor score for all disciplines of 100%, the Amrock person said that my employment with Amrock was AT WILL, and they did not have to give me a reason, they were simply terminating our partnership agreement.

I was flaberghasted, stunned, disappointed, felt scorned and hurt. They were firm, cold, unprofessional. The girl who delivered the news did so in a very timid matter, like she didn't like the task she was charged with any more than I did.

A few days later, I received a letter in the mail from Amrock that I was to sign and return, stating I would not accept any signings for Amrock that came through third parties. Really? Can they really regulate who I can work for?

This all happened several months ago. I have turned this rock over several times, analyzing just what was going on. I recently ran into another CA Central Coast notary who had the same experience, and her rating score was 100% also. We are both scratching our heads trying to figure out just what really is their game plan.

I had 8.5 years of great experience with Title Source and Amrock and I am still feeling blindsighted by their blunt action to terminate our relationship.

This morning I checked into the cafe site and there is considerable conversation about Amrock there. Seems like there are a lot of changes at Amrock, shifting, changing, etc. I have little confidence that I would ever want to work for Amrock again given their handling of our professional services ending.

Well, good while it lasted. I made a ton of money and realized, especially during COVID-19, there weren't enough hours in the day to perform all the signings they asked me to do. Seven days a week 18 hour days often.

I'm good at changing, call me a Change Agent, and my philosophy has always been, never put all your eggs into one basket. GNW is the name of my game now. I can name my own fees and no major printing or travel required.

Did anyone else in CA get that call from Amrock terminating their Partner agreement?
