I’m pretty surprised at how lucrative it can be. The family members who started doing it about 5 years ago are able to sustain themselves in a high-end area. They (husband and wife) work 24/7 and are young with lots of energy. I think you really need to be in an area that has a market for it, with clients who are willing to pay top dollar, and of course provide a great service. It’s interesting what niche markets are out there that I had not previously considered as viable – like the Notary business once was, for me. Being self-employed is wonderful, and all the power to those who can sustain it. :-)
