Got a call yesterday in the morning for a 4pm seller signing in Chino about 2 1/2 miles away the same day. So I figure sure what the heck, pay is decent and only 57 pages, I should be done in about 20-25 minutes.
Well I get there, very nice couple, get their I.D.'s and the husband asks "About how long will this take?" So I tell him about 20-25 minutes. The wife has the copy of docs and is skimming through them.
From the first page he reads EVERY sentence slowly! I tried to explain to them that the most important pages are the settlement and proceed pages. His wife tells me he likes to see everything. I'm thinking this could take an hour!
After a while I just showed them the pages they needed to sign but then they had questions about each page.
It took just over an hour to complete. I had told my wife before leaving that it should only take about 30 minutes tops. She started to wonder what was going on! |
