I was subpoenaed last month for a Trust/Estate Plan signing I did in 2012 at the Bakersfield Heart Hospital. It was through General Notary Work. The signers passed away that same year and the siblings were fighting over one of the properties. The daughter and son-in-law of the deceased were living in said property so the executor was trying to remove them to proceed with the instructions of the trust (IDK the specifics) the squatters filed a lawsuit in 2021 which went to trial, disputing the trust/estate plan signing saying the documents were produced, signed and notarized "illegally" & or signed under duress! 😤 . SO I dug out my notary journal of that time and I was IMPRESSED withy my notary journaling WOW im good 😁 So I proudly showed up to Chatsworth Court in LA. Spoke to the attorney he gave me $300 in cash and asked me to stick around, because I may or may not need to testify. Great! I was there from 10:30am and got home at 4pm . Didn't need to testify. |
