Here are the key words from that article for California notaries: "...designated team signing agents outside of California who will perform the signing for our California property owners."

So any California notaries who do Amrock work in those counties Yoli listed should be preparing to find alternatives, as that work will be farmed out to their RON notaries located elsewhere. I think it's likely only a matter of time before they try to expand to the rest of the counties here, too. I found it interesting that the list included both large, densely populated and small, rural counties, so I wonder what the distinction is between those on the list and those not.
