Re: RON is playing a big role in lowering rates

As long as new "take anything I can get" notaries accept these fees companies will offer low fees. A notary is the only profession where experience and knowledge don't count for anything. Companies will hire the least experienced notary there is. Because of these inexperienced notaries, companies have more demands and pay less money. I will no longer accept loan assignments unless it's a HELOC. I changed my business to general notaries with local companies and attorneys and doing well.
If California does allow RON, then I may do a few loans. However, I get paid now and do not have to wait 30 to 45 days.
