Recently I became very sickened when I read that the son of a gentleman who once attended all my RE auctions during the foreclosure tsunami in 2008-2010 on the steps of the courthouse, had scammed his own family for over a $1 million. My client, who has since passed from a long battle with throat cancer, would be so disappointed as he was grooming his son as his protégé in the real estate flip market. I was so saddened when I read this.

Son will have to pay restitution, but can the family forgive their son for such bad form? Right under their noses.

I have witnesses a lot of fraud right here in my counties. It is happening a lot to seniors, absentee owners.

It really pays to have a trust entity, and even then, who knows if there are any safeguards.
