2 replies | Why wearing a mask is important | By MikeC/TX on 6/17/20 5:21pm
From WAPO:
"A hair stylist in Missouri was diagnosed with covid-19 in late May, and she ended up directly exposing 84 customers who had sat just inches from her face for up to 30 minutes each. She had symptoms, but wore a face mask; salons were one of the few places where people were required to wear them. Because of that, health officials say, none of her customers was infected. The result appears to be one of the clearest real-world examples of the ability of masks to slow the spread of the coronavirus."

the more i am disgusted with the lefties. The latest big push to oust Trump is because he supposedly had trouble walking down a ramp. Big deal. So, you idiots are saying if you have a physical handicap, that you should not be POTUS correct? How disgusting is that premise? Uncle Joe is considering someone with a physical handicap as his running mate. so, we would have a double amputee a heartbeat away from being POTUS! Defend yourselves. Cant wait for the spin on this topic.

7 replies | Finally - a drug that actually seems to work against COVID | By MikeC/TX on 6/16/20 5:17pm
The same large-scale study that determined that hydroxychloroquine was useless in treating COVID just turned up a promising treatment that has shown results with patients on respirators and patients on oxygen reducing deaths by 20% or more. It does NOT do anything for people who are not already in respiratory distress so hopefully, people won't try to hoard it.
The drug is a steroid I have used as part of chemotherapy, dexamethasone - or as we call it "dex". It's cheap and readily available, and those of us on chemo who take it pretty much hate it because of the side effects, but I doubt those side effects will affect someone on a respirator or receiving oxygen. I'm just kind of blown away that these little pills that I've despised for years turned out to be therapeutic for COVID patients.

President Trump is holding a rally (ignoring social distancing guidelines) next Friday, June 19th. in Tulsa, OK.
June 19th is known as Juneteenth - the day that slavery in the US was abolished.
Tulsa is the site of the worst race massacre in US history:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulsa_race_massacre
You either have to be a complete moron to schedule a campaign rally on the day and place where these two things intersect, or you're trying to send a message. It's not a coincidence.
As time goes on, our President shows more and more of his racism. He was sued by the FHA in the 70s for discriminating against blacks. A leopard does not change his spots...
November cannot come soon enough.

12 replies | about that voter fraud. Lets look at Georgia | By sigtogo/OR on 6/10/20 7:23pm
"The other big news today was chaos in Georgia’s voting. Five states held primaries today, and voting appeared to be unremarkable in Nevada, North Dakota, South Carolina, and West Virginia.
But things went badly wrong in Georgia. Mail-in ballots never arrived, sending voters to polls where machines were missing or malfunctioning. People waited in line for hours. The problems were worst in heavily minority counties.
Georgia’s voting system has been unworkable for years, either from incompetence or design, and a new system put in place before this election is clearly inadequate. Democrat Stacey Abrams, who lost the race for Georgia’s governor to Republican Brian Kemp, who was at the time Georgia’s secretary of state and thus responsible for overseeing hisown election, called the 2018 election “rotten and rigged.” Of today’s election, she said Georgians “deserve better.” Republican secretary of state Brad Raffensperger blamed local officials for the problems, but Democrats say he owns this debacle, and must fix it before November.
He must fix it before November, but has little incentive to, because for the first time in decades, Georgia appears to be in play in this year’s presidential contest."

15 replies | So Antifa is now using senior citizens | By MikeC/TX on 6/9/20 7:02pm
President Trump today accused the 75-year old Buffalo man who was knocked down by Buffalo police, struck his head on the sidewalk, and was left lying there with blood coming out of his ears as being an "antifa provocateur", saying it was a "false flag" meant to make the police look bad and that he "went down harder than he was pushed."
He got this wacky conspiracy theory from a report on OANN which was based entirely on an anonymous blog post on an extreme right-wing conspiracy site called Conservative Treehouse. The OANN "reporter" who reported the story also works for Sputnik, a Russian propaganda TV station.
Can't wait to see the MAGAts here leap to Trump's defense.
