Re: Cancel Culture, or Accountability?

It seems to have originated several years ago on what is known as Black Twitter - an informal Twitter community that primarily discusses the Black cultural experience. It then jumped to the MeToo movement and has since been hijacked, mostly by conservatives, to become what we see today - whining about the fact that they're being "canceled" for expressing their views, ironically doing so by using the same media outlets they claim are silencing them in order to whine about it and get their message out.

An example of the hypocrisy involved is this latest kerfluffle about MLB yanking the All-Star Game from GA. Ted "Cancun" Cruz was so incensed about this "cancel culture" that he and Mike Lee of Utah will be introducing a bill to cancel MLB's monopoly exemption. In other words, when THEY do it it's reprehensible, but when WE do it it's justified.

Total idiocy. Whatever happened to the conservative reverence for the free market and small government? It seems that only counts when it benefits them.
