| I'm beginning to think an acquittal of Trump on partisan lines might be the best thing that could happen to the Democrats. The Supreme Court has just taken up 3 cases where Trump contested providing information to Congress, and a local prosecutor. Decisions should be coming down around May or June 2020, and I think we will see exactly what a scumbag he is. That should wrap up the presidential race for any reasonable Democrat. More than that, though, a vote to acquit will be draped around the neck of every Republican senator like decomposing roadkill. Democrats would have an excellent chance of retaking the Senate.4 |
